Abstract In this article, I argue that the philosophical project grounded in the theory of erosion is not an extension of Heidegger's ontology but a radical reconstruction of the relationship between "concealment" and "unconcealment" within it. While Heidegger formulates Being around the event of disclosure (Erschlossenheit) and regards concealment as its inherent shadow, the theory of erosion locates the very condition of possibility for both disclosure and concealment in "non-linear structural decay." I demonstrate how concepts such as Structural Subjectivity, Ontological Opacity, and Ontological Capture fundamentally transform Heidegger's hermeneutic presuppositions. Extending the discussion to Foucault, Derrida, Deleuze, and Rosa, I contend that this framework offers a systematic response to the contemporary crisis of continuity in Continental philosophy. I ultimately conclude that if erosion is the condition of possibility for any appearance and subjectivity, then ontology must begin not with "Being" but with the "conditions for the possibility of the continuation of Being." In this sense, erosion is not one of the categories of Being but the fundamental horizon within which all other categories acquire meaning.
