Narrador Y Nada Completo
This metaphysical essay develops an original ontology of nothingness and the internal narrator. It proposes that nothingness is not an absolute void or a state of being, but the event of cessation of a specific pattern—the disappearance of a unique configuration (e.g., a deleted letter, a vanished memory, a death) while its material or energetic substrate persists. Central to the work is the concept of the internal narrator: the singular, irreducible axis of identity that provides continuity to the self, distinct from the psychological ego, memory, or physical body. The narrator is this pattern; upon death, the pattern ceases, and this cessation is the nothingness relevant to identity. The essay engages with phenomenology, philosophy of information, and Buddhist thought while offering a coherent framework where nothingness is always conditioned, local, and defined by the extinction of identifiable patterns. This model avoids classical refutations by clearly distinguishing between pattern and substrate, presenting a novel understanding of identity, finitude, and the trace left by what ceases to be. [The complete essay is in Spanish.] This work is part of an expanding series of philosophical essays available and their expansions in the author's personal archive.
