The Trimonistic Integration Model: An Ontological Framework of Integrated Being
The Trimonistic Integration Model (TIM) proposes a triadic ontological framework to address the crisis of fragmentation in contemporary existence, unifying ontology, consciousness, and ethics. Rejecting dualism’s mind-body dichotomy and monism’s reductive simplifications, TIM posits reality as a triadic structure—Nous (cognitive engagement), Soma (material embodiment), and Pneuma (teleological relation)—grounded in Being-Itself, the non-contingent source of all reality. These components align with the Transcendentals: Truth, Beauty, and Goodness, respectively. TIM introduces Pan-Potentialism, asserting that all created being holds latent potential for sentience, actualized through Integrative Coherence (IC), the Pneuma’s volitional resistance to Fragmentational Drift (FD), the entropic force of disintegration. The Nous, as the seat of Truth, processes integrated information; the Soma, embodying Beauty, provides aesthetic fidelity; and the Pneuma, driving Goodness, enables agent-causal choice. Sentience emerges when the Pneuma sustains IC, cultivating a Conscience that monitors alignment with the Transcendentals through virtues like Caritas, Justice, and Faith. The ultimate Telos, Relational Moral Integration (RMI), extends IC outward, fostering relational flourishing. Through Sustained Organic Enculturation and Integral Narrative Continuity, RMI forges a Well-Formed Conscience, enabling the entity to transcend FD and achieve Eternality, reflecting the Imago Dei. TIM offers a robust framework for understanding sentience, applicable to both human and artificial systems, emphasizing moral agency and the pursuit of a unified, purposeful existence.
