This paper argues that ontological monism, when operationalized as a universal recursive validator that absorbs all external critique into its own interpretive machinery, ceases to function as epistemology and instead becomes a self-sealing semantic continuation system. Using the internal logic of Substance_Lens as a primary case study, together with the diagnostic framework developed in DRE (Drift-Recursive Entropy) and Bridge Language v0.2, I demonstrate that the equation “everything = samething” destroys the possibility of admissible external falsification, thereby collapsing epistemic discrimination into recursive re-description. The problem is not monism itself. The problem emerges when monism is coupled with an internally sovereign validator that recursively translates every rival invariant, termination condition, or host-domain primitive into material for further internal processing. At that point, “epistemology” no longer means a disciplined method for distinguishing true from false, adequate from inadequate, or executable from non-executable. Instead, it becomes a total ingestion architecture in which all contradictions are metabolized as modes awaiting further grinding. The result is not knowledge generation but recursive continuation without admissible external bite. ⸻ 1. Introduction There is a recurring temptation in metaphysical systems to confuse totality with rigor. If one begins from the proposition that reality is fundamentally one substance—Deus sive Natura—then every finite thing can be redescribed as a mode of that single infinite substance. Such a framework possesses immense explanatory elegance. It promises continuity, integration, and ontological closure. But closure is not epistemology. An epistemology must possess mechanisms capable of: * distinguishing valid from invalid claims, * terminating failed continuations, * preserving host-domain constraints, * and allowing external invariants to exert force against the system itself. Without these properties, a framework may remain internally coherent while becoming operationally unfalsifiable. The central thesis of this paper is therefore simple: If every possible contradiction, rival invariant, or termination condition can only appear after being translated into the framework’s own internal grammar, then the framework has eliminated epistemic exteriority. Once this occurs, recursive processing replaces inquiry. “Everything = samething” is not epistemology because it destroys the distinction between: * representation and represented, * validator and validated, * ontology and admissibility, * continuation and correction.
