Rational belief, as used here, is a degree of belief that maps to the degree of the relevant evidence: stronger evidence warrants greater confidence, weaker or defeated evidence warrants less, and mixed evidence warrants proportionate uncertainty. This paper asks whether the Bible clearly teaches that norm and the practices needed to apply it. The argument is comparative rather than deductive. A strong divine-pedagogy model predicts that a canon decisively authorized for high-stakes truth guidance would make evidence-sensitive belief revision salient, feasible, portable, and self-applying. The Bible contains genuine epistemic resources: rules for testimony, prophetic tests, wisdom about caution and correction, evidential appeals, and communal deliberation. Yet these resources remain largely local, genre-bound, and indexed to covenantal or communal authority. They do not clearly form an integrated curriculum for calibrating confidence to source quality, independent support, defeaters, rival explanations, and failed expectations—especially when the canon's own authority is at issue. This profile provides moderate comparative support for a historical-human model over the strong divine-pedagogy model. Mediated revelation, accommodation, embodied formation, communal epistemology, and internal divine warrant reduce the contrast. The conclusion is therefore limited: the omission counts against one strong model of divine pedagogy, not against every form of inspiration, theism, religious trust, or knowledge of the deity posited by Christianity.
