philosophy
This paper proposes a novel systems theory titled Trilism, aimed at transcending the explanatory limitations of traditional Cartesian Dualism and Physicalism. Through an inquiry into the framework of ”Zero Philosophy”—defined here as ”Pre-categorical Clarification”—this study redefines the ontological structure of reality into three core categories: the Spiritual World (S), the Mediator (T, or Mesotes), and the Material World (M). Drawing upon Cartesian meditative methods and engaging with contemporary philosophy of mind, this research establishes ”intermediacy” as a logical necessity for systemic coherence. Through the ”Perfectly Simulated Human” (PSH) thought experiment and the technical delineation of the ”Trilism Observer,” the paper responds to David Chalmers’ ”Hard Problem,” demonstrating the non-reducibility of subjective qualia. Furthermore, the Trilism framework is applied to economics and algorithmic ethics, proposing a normative mechanism to counteract the alienation inherent in self-referential bureaucratic systems.
